Las Vegas and Macau Gaming Industry Thriving

The gaming industry continues to thrive in Las Vegas market showing a generated $7.6 billion in gaming revenue in 2005, as reported by the the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority.

Dan Ahrens said: "It is important to understand that gaming is still a growing industry. Las Vegas occupancy rates are very high, there is a great resurgence in table games and overall gaming revenues continue to grow."

While domestically the gaming industry is still healthy, many companies are looking to the far east as the next big hit. "The Far East is the real gold mine and Macau is just getting started. A number of U.S. gaming companies have great upside potential with these overseas markets. They are making overseas growth a priority."

Ahrens also states the worldwide fascination with accessible gaming online and on mobile phones. "Worldwide, online gaming is booming and when it comes to mobile gaming, handhelds and wireless, this has great potential."

"I'm a big believer in the gaming industry. I think that everything is in place for gaming to outperform the rest of the market in the long run," says Ahrens. He believes that as the gaming industry's audience continue to be drawn in, casino gaming revenue has no other direction to go but up.
